Six Weeks

Nat's already six weeks old. He smiles a little, though he's pretty serious most of the time. He is growing so fast--already almost 10 pounds and outgrowing his newborn clothes. He's still got that great hair though. No bald spot yet, knock on wood. He's slept six hours straight two nights in a row--sorry, Betsy. Big brother still likes him, but he's starting to resent the attention. The other day we were at the store, and someone said, "Look at the cute baby!" And Benton, from the cart half an aisle away, says, "Look at Benton too!" That about sums it up.

I love how Benny speaks from his heart. His emotions are no mystery. Maybe Aunty Snook should come and take Ben to the park to play with Emma. Then some icecream... (selfish motives here) :)

SIX hours? I don't know why I had to read this after a night like last night... 12:30, 3:00, 5:30 and 8:00... ya, with about an hour total of feeding and "settling in" (due to spit up and gas issues or whatever it is that bothers him when I lay him down flat after a feeding). So, not a lot of sleep for me.

I think Benton would love that. And again, I really do feel your pain, Betsy. Meanwhile, I went out to run some errands and both boys fell asleep in the car on the way to the bank. I fled back home as quickly as I could so we could all sleep at the same time. It actually worked too. Whew. I didn't finish my errands, but some things are more important.
