For some reason, we thought it would be a good idea to go to the zoo Sunday after church. Here is why it was not a good idea: #1 Nap time for the kids. They should have slept in the car, they did not. #2 Nap time for sleep deprived mothers of infants. #3 Lunch on the road. Chicken nuggets and carseats are not a good combination. #4 It was 85 degrees that day. #5 Nursing babies on different schedules. We spent a lot of time at the sand box. #6 Nika is three, Benton and Soren are 2 1/2, Christian is one, and the babies are both under two months.We saw Polar bears, warty pigs, and a peacock. And a tiger from very far away. In that last picture (the one taken by an attractive Latin man) we are smiling because we survived... two hours at the zoo!

Bet the husbands got you ladies' naps! But who had the more rewarding time, I ask? Sounds like a memory maker to me! Aunt Marci.
Sounds like a FULL day. A quiet Sunday afternoon where everyone gets there naps is bliss, although no one wants to read a blog about that.
I am proud of you that you made it through with smiles!
