Musician

Paul has been a percussionist as long as I have known him. He hasn't always had the instruments to do anything about it though. He uses things like the steering wheel, his legs, his car keys, a bottle of tylenol, chop sticks and an overturned plastic cup, etc.
Within the last few years he's gotten a lot more serious about it. He drums in church every Sunday and our upstairs contains a full drum kit, a couple djembes, congas, bongos, and yes, there's a cowbell up there too.
Last week, through a friend, he actually got to play a real live gig! Some friends were able to take the boys overnight so I could go be a groupie. It was a lot of fun. His friend Jon played Bass, and the lead is Matthew Price, a local guy with a wife and kids and a lot of talent. I don't think either of us anticipated Paul becoming a musician at the age of 40, but he's having a lot of fun with it for now. He will be playing for Matthew again this Friday for the big CD release show. Click here for more details. Also check out the music over there in the sidebar. It's fun. You'll like it :)

I never thought Paul and I would agree on music to groove to. Awesome.

isn't it funny when you live with a drummer or two that every thing becomes a drum? Congrat to Paul and getting a real "gig"

What fun for both of you! I'm with Alysun- other than worship music I didn't think Paul and I had much common ground music wise, but I wish I oould be there tonight too- but I guess I'd probably be babysitting if I was there:)
